Hook:	Mustad 9672 or similar size 10-12
Thread:	Olive
Eyes:	Gold bead chain
Tail:	Grayish brown maribou-like under feathers from a Ring neck pheasant or similar
Rib:	Fine Gold tinsel
Body:	Rough dubbed natural Hare’s Ear
Head:	Rough dubbed natural Hare’s Ear with extra rabbit guard hair added for fuzziness and length
Note: This fly is excellent in the early season or when getting deep is important. The weight of the eyes helps it to get down to the fish’s level. Fish it using typical wet fly techniques, the Leisenring Lift, or like a jig, making the fly form little arches in the water. The trout love it, and it’s taken many trout for me in the early season.
